September saw Long Live Southbank take part in The World Transformed – a 4-day festival of politics, art and music running alongside the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool.
On Saturday afternoon, LLSB’s Stuart Maclure, Matt Nelmes and Louis Woodhead ran a three-hour Creative Campaign Surgery. The drop-in workshop allowed activists from around the country to learn from LLSB’s original and successful use of creative campaigning methods, social media communication and coalition-building, opening up broader discussions around youth culture and advocacy.
The conversation continued in the evening at The Baltic Cinema. A screening of You Can’t Move History was followed by a panel discussion, chaired by Megan Sullivan, and including Stuart, Matt and Louis from LLSB, along with Pollyanna Ruiz and Steffan Blayney from the academic team.
